A self professed plant geek, Erin has always had a soft spot for flowers, trees, leaves, seeds, bark, lichen...well, anything growing! But more than just a "green thumb," she is an experienced design professional. With a degree in Environmental Design from San Diego State University, she worked in the field of commercial interior design for fifteen years. Transitioning out of the office interiors profession and into a "just for fun" job at one of San Diego's premier garden centers gave her the opportunity to further her plant addiction. Her plant knowledge and design expertise naturally combined into Erin Hendricks Garden Design. A mid west gardener, with a west coast design influence, let Erin create a garden that is uniquely yours.

Specializing in smaller landscapes,  seasonal containers and edible gardens, Erin's designs will always hold true to a few values.

1. You matter: A good designer is a good listener.

2. Design matters: Color, texture, form, function, scale, unity, rhythm; it all matters.

3. Behavior matters: Plants need to play nice, even as grown ups.

4. Nature matters: Plants are beautiful as God designed them. Proper placement will reveal their natural         
    beauty without turning them into high maintenance divas.

5. People matter: If our gardens are designed to be gardens that give, all the better.

6. Life matters: This is gardening! It should be fun, not a chore!
